Braga, the oldest Portuguese city and religious capital of Portugal. For centuries the city has been an archiepiscopal seat and pilgrimage site.  We will go to the Sé, the 12th century cathedral and Bom Jesus Sanctuary located in one of the city hill’s.


Take also the time to appreciate Aveiro, with its scenic lagoon and the famous boats ‘moliceiros’. Originally founded in the time of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Aveiro is known for its genuine streets of water, light and colour. Here it’s highly recommended that you sample the delicious “ovos moles”, a special egg-based dessert.


Former capital of the Portuguese Kingdom in the High Middle Ages, Coimbra is better known for its university, the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest academic institutions in Europe.
